This listing is for a Rare Antique Oscar Schmidt 12-String Bowl Back Mandolin. Based on our research, these were made in the early 1900s. The serial number on the end of the headstock is 15913. The mandolin is in rough condition and needs work. The good news is that the bowl looks nice with no cracks, the neck is straight, and the frets are decent good with some wear on the lower ones. The neck and head have no cracks or damage. The not so good news is that the top has some warping and a few cracks, there are pieces of the edge binding missing, the fretboard has some heavy wear between the first few frets, and there is some surface corrosion on the tuner hardware. The case appears to be original, but is also in rough shape as shown. Please see the detailed photos below and contact us with any questions before bidding. We have a low opening price, so don't miss your chance to get a great deal!
