This listing is for a rare original 1943 Coca-Cola cardboard sign. It reads "Face your job refreshed" in the upper left and features an image of a smiling, attractive woman sliding her glove on in preparation for working with some machinery. Based on some preliminary research, this sign was based on the famous character "Rosie the Riveter". It measures 20" by 36" inches and has a paper backing. Our client's father worked at a Coca-Cola plant during WWII and brought this sign home. He actually ended up using this one, and several others we are selling, to line the ceiling in a room they were building. The good news is that they were used face up, so the images were protected from any sunlight. The not-so-good news is that they now have a number of holes in them. There is some foxing, discoloration, and water staining. It looks like some of the discoloration would clean off, but we will leave any restoration to the winning bidder.
