This listing is for a great antique Jerome & Darrow weight driven clock with wooden "works". When it was brought in to us, it had some newspapers inside from 1938. The clock has gold stenciled trim and columns on the side, a lovely reverse painting on the bottom glass panel, and carved claw feet in the front. The clock was running many years ago but has not been used in a long time. Using our own key, we wound just a bit and did not encounter any resistance. When we gently turned the peg on the left side clockwise, it sounded like it was running and striking the bell. No further testing was done. The clock has scuffs, chips and other wear from age and use. Some of the paint has chipped off the reverse painting. The glass over the face is cracked, and some of the trim is detached, missing (pieces), and/or damaged. There are a few separations or cracks in the back wood panel. The clock is selling as-is and would be a suitable project for restoration. It comes with two weights and a key for the door. Please see the photos below to see everything that is included, and contact us with any questions before bidding. We have a low opening bid and no reserve price so don't miss your chance to win!
