This listing is for a wonderful Vintage/Antique Japanese Silk Embroidery. It appears to be silk on silk. There is a large inscription and two red block "signatures" in the upper left. We had a Japanese friend attempt to translate the text, but they were unable to do so and thought they may be antiquated characters. The main image is an old man with a staff and several horned goats at his feet. The piece measures 42" x 19" inckes including the wooden frame. It is in fair to good condition with the main issue being some water damage along the bottom. There are also some areas where the silk appears to have bubbled up. The frame has some chips and paint loss and the glass has some scratches. We can ship for a much lower price without the frame, either flat or rolled depending on what we find when it is removed from the frame. Please see the photos below and contact us with any questions before bidding. We have a low opening bid, so don't miss your chance to win!
