This listing is for a one-of-a-kind Gibson Mastertone resonator. It is being sold by the original owner who was a top executive at Gibson in 1976 when this was made. Gibson commissioned an artist to design and create several different inlay designs for them to consider using for their limited edition 1976 Bicentennial Mastertone RB-350s. This wonderful rose inlay design was never used in production because the cost of the hand inlay was prohibitive. Gibson instead chose a red, white, & blue painted eagle for the RB-350 resonators. This resonator was just a mock up and thus does not have the cutout for the neck. It measures 13 7/8" in diameter and 2 11/16" inches deep on the side. It is in very good condition with some crazing in the finish and some scuffs from storage. Please see the photos below and contact us with any questions before bidding. We have no reserve price, so don't miss your chance to add this beauty to your collection!
Upon the buyers request, we can include a letter of authenticity from the seller.
