We don't believe there is any damage but we aren't experts on this item so we ask that you examine the photos and decide for yourself. The seller had his friend who is a machinist examine the item and here's what he had to say about it:
"As far as describing it: call it AN AUTOMATIC BORING AND FACING HEAD, exactly what it says on the booklet. I believe yours has a 3/4" straight shank, although I'm sure the shank can be changed. Even if it can't, any full sized vertical mill, like a Bridgeport, can take that shank in a collet. I'm sure most potential buyers know the difference between 'an automatic B & F head' and a plain boring head which costs about 1/4 as much because it doesn't do facing (no automatic radial feed)."
