This listing is for an antique embalming kit with many instruments, powders and fluids. It belonged to George Pope, the town undertaker and blacksmith in Jeffersonville, Vermont in the late 1800s. The kit appears to be just as it was when George retired. He also owned the first garage in town, as well as the hardware store. When performing undertaker business, George would travel around town in a horse-drawn hearse with glass sides. The hearse used wheels during the warmer months and had runners for the winter time. The kit comes in a nice leather doctor's bag and is in good overall condition with some light rust on some of the instruments. Most of the containers have at least some of the original substance inside. This listing has no reserve price so don't miss your chance to win!
